Turnstyle helps you catalogue and manage your wardrobe as a collection of assets. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the service needs to work, and we don't sell your personal information.
Information you give us
When you request membership or are invited by a curator, we collect your name, email address, and any details you choose to share. As you use Turnstyle you add wardrobe information — items, brands, photographs, receipts, sizes, notes, and events — which we store on your behalf.
Information we collect automatically
We record basic usage (pages visited, actions taken, device and browser information) to operate the service, keep it secure, and understand what to improve. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in.
Images and AI processing
Photographs you upload are stored privately and served only to you and the curator you work with. To help catalogue pieces, we may send an image or product link to trusted processors — for background removal and for AI enrichment that suggests attributes such as brand, category, colour, and material. These processors act on our instructions and do not use your content to train their own models.
Billing
If you hold a paid membership, payments are processed by our payment provider. We store a record of your subscription status but never your full card details.
How we use your information
To provide and maintain the service, pair you with a curator, personalise your experience, communicate with you about your account, and keep Turnstyle secure. We may send you service email (such as invitations and notifications); you can opt out of non-essential messages.
Who can see your wardrobe
Your wardrobe is private to you. A curator you work with can see and manage the wardrobe you share with them. Our team may access data where necessary to operate, support, or secure the service. We share information with the service providers who power Turnstyle (hosting, storage, payments, email, and the AI processors described above), and where required by law.
Retention and security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymise it. We protect your data with access controls, encryption in transit, and row-level security so members and curators reach only what they are entitled to.
Your choices
You can access, correct, export, or delete your information — contact us and we will help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data.
